Hello and welcome to the Cowichan Valley Car Picnic Web page.
The Cowichan Valley Car Picnic was started by a group of friends in 1985, who decided it would be fun to take their cars for a drive through the country and stop for a Picnic Lunch somewhere. One of these was John Queen, who was a House Master at Brentwood School. He suggested we use one of the playing fields at the School. From this idea of a "fun" event for "Car Nuts" or "Petrol Heads"and their families, The Cowichan Valley Car Picnic grew into what it is today. The best "fun" car event on Vancouver Island and also the longest running.

Many local Car Clubs include the CVCP in their annual calendar. BMW,The Old English Car Club, MG, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Island Cruisers, Mustang, Thunderbird and Jaguar etc. to name a but a few..
We are delighted that the "Blethering Place" car show in Victoria, have now moved their date so as NOT to conflict with the CVCP......THANK YOU. Now you will be able to attend both of these great "Island" events.........!!
Following the fabulous job done by local ROTARY Club of South Cowichan the last couple of years with their Food Concession for everyone, we are delighted to have another:
